Frequently asked questions
The information outlined below offers answers to the questions that we’re asked most frequently.
In which languages is the app available?
Right now, you can play Andor in German, English, French and Spanish. We’ll look into other languages if we notice a demand for them.
Do I need any prior knowledge to play the game?
No. Even Andor newbies quickly get a hang of the app. Just like in the board game, we introduce you to the game mechanics in an introductory legend and gradually amp up the difficulty level and scope of the legends from there.
Which heroes and legends can I play?
The app contains 12 completely new legends that take place in the same timeline as the original board game. Accordingly, it’s possible to choose any of the four heroes from the original board game. Whether you’ll be alone on your journey for the entire time is a completely different question… 🙂
Can I select the level of difficulty?
The legends can be played with up to four heroes and are set up to reflect that. If you’re looking for a particular challenge, however, you can give it a go with three or even just two heroes. On top of that, there is even an extra difficulty level for particularly adept players!
Are there offline/online multiplayer modes?
The game is an offline, single-player game – that way you can always trek through Andor, even if you don’t have any other players to join your party.
What kind of business model does the Andor app follow? Are there daily quests or imbedded advertisements?
The Andor app, like the board game, has a set number of legends and a self-contained story. The app is purchased for a fixed, one-time fee, and it is not financed through advertisements, virtual currency or the like.
On which platforms can I play the Andor app?
The app can be played on smartphones and tablets (iOS and Android). As is the case with additional translations, we’re also open to the possibility of expanding to other platforms.
Does the app cost anything?
Yes, you have to pay for the Andor app in the App Store or on Google Play.
How can I play the expansion “Heart of Ice”?
If you own the base game you can download the expansion as an in-app purchase on the App Store or on Google Play.
